Private Label Packaging for Bath Mats and Rugs: A Guide for UK Buyers

Private Label Packaging for Bath Mats and Rugs: A Guide for UK Buyers

For UK retailers, wholesalers and hospitality suppliers, private-label packaging can help create a stronger and more consistent product range. It allows buyers to present selected bath mats and rugs under their own brand, with packaging developed around their market, customer and sales channel.

At Collumn Limited, we support UK trade buyers with private-label bath mats, bathroom rugs, rugs and runners supplied through our established production partner in Türkiye.

What is private-label packaging?

Private-label packaging means that a product is manufactured for a retailer or trade business and presented using that buyer’s brand identity. Depending on the project, this may include branded labels, product information, barcode areas, packaging artwork and outer-carton requirements.

The exact packaging format is agreed during product development. This allows the buyer to select the most suitable approach for retail shelves, online sales, hospitality supply or distribution.

Which products can be supplied?

Our private-label programme can support a range of home-textile products, including:

  • Cotton noodle and jacquard bath mats

  • Two-piece bath mat sets

  • Washable bathroom rugs

  • Digital-print bath mats

  • Modern rugs and runners

  • Classic, Scandinavian and kids’ rugs

Products can be selected from existing catalogue designs or discussed as part of a project requiring specific colours, sizes, materials or packaging details.

Minimum order quantities and production

Our standard minimum order quantity is normally 100 units per design. This gives smaller and growing UK businesses the opportunity to test a product range without committing to excessively large volumes.

Production is normally completed approximately 30 days after final manufacturing approval. The final lead time depends on the product, quantities, packaging requirements and approval process.

Before production, buyers can request samples. Samples are charged at the unit price, with courier costs paid by the customer. Sample costs may be deducted from a subsequent bulk order where agreed in advance.

Why private label can benefit UK buyers

Private-label packaging can help a business:

  • Build a recognisable product identity

  • Present a more consistent range across sales channels

  • Create packaging suited to its target market

  • Test selected products under its own brand

  • Develop a longer-term supplier relationship

  • Differentiate from standard catalogue products

For retailers and online sellers, packaging is often an important part of the customer experience. For hospitality and property suppliers, it can also support a more professional and consistent presentation.

How the process works

The process usually begins with the buyer sharing the preferred product types, sizes, colours, estimated quantities and target market. We can then discuss suitable catalogue options, sample requirements and packaging possibilities.

Once the product and packaging direction are agreed, manufacturing details are confirmed before production approval. This creates a clear process from initial selection through to bulk supply.
